Baptism Preparation

Scheduled Times

Baptisms at Saint Boniface are normally celebrated after the 10:30am mass on Sundays. Or contact us and we will find a good time to celebrate with you and your family. Check with your parish on specifics if you were sent here to complete the Online Preparation Course.

Prayer

The God of power and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ has freed you from sin, given you a new birth by water and the Holy Spirit, and welcomed you into his holy people.

He now anoints you with the chrism of salvation. As Christ was anointed Priest, Prophet, and King, so may you live always as a member of his body, sharing everlasting life.

Heavenly Father, in Baptism you have anointed us with the Holy Spirit to participate in Jesus’ mission as Priest, Prophet, and King. Grant us the strength and courage to strive to be ever more fully conformed to Christ and his mission, that we may better guide and guard the children you have entrusted to our care and teaching.

We ask this in the name of your Son, our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.

Baptismal Preparation Online

Parents, what name have you given to your child?

When you name something or someone, you claim it as your own. With baptism, God claims your child as the newest brother or sister of Jesus. We are so glad to be with you during this journey of faith.

Are you ready to help the parents of this child in their role as Christian Parents?

If you answered “yes” or “I most certainly am” then you are in right place.

Follow these simple directions and you’ll be on your way to becoming the next best Parents and Godparent in our faith community!

Step One

Reborn explores the deeply personal power of Baptism, bringing to light the spiritual reality for parents and godparents and, most importantly, the child being baptized. Rendered with a cinematic beauty that’s become the hallmark of the Augustine Institute’s film productions, Reborn presents the foundation of the Church’s teaching on Baptism, with a step-by-step explanation of the rite itself, including its profound place in Scripture and Tradition.
